CABLE PONTOONS

GCMarine’s cable pontoon system is a cost effective solutions for waterfront properties in quieter canals, lakes and rivers. We use marine grade stainless steel cables, connected to the two rear corners of the pontoon which run back to concrete mooring blocks on the land, making a X shape. We position the gangway centre with the pontoon to provide extra bracing support for the pontoon..

Our cable pontoons are made using 50MPA concrete along with galvanised rebar internally in the pontoon for maximum strength, as well as a foam void with a maximum of 7% absorption rate for the flotation component. To top all this off we finish our pontoons in a high strength HDPE liner to keep the marine life from entering the void.
